now the military understands that but it also realizes that when men enlist in their late teens and early 20´s they are especially naive and feel bulletproof. anyway as they get older they need something to keep them in the military and responsiblities to family (wife, kids) are a great motivator for men to reconsider leaving. shit, just look at the benefits married men get and its no surprise so many guys in uniform get suckered into getting married.

as for not testing for childsupport. that just goes back to the militaries agenda. the military by the way is the most pro child support, alimony organization out there. i think they can get away with it because military skills are not easily transferable to other jobs like most private sector gigs. that said if a guys is getting his paycheck garnished for child support in the private sector he can and often does quit for another gig. there is no quiting the military unless your contract is up. by getting these soldiers on the hook for child support and alimony it all but ensures you have them in your hooks. after all the real expense for these men that the military incurs is training them after that its just good business to for them to stay as long as possible to get a good return on their investment.

And a lot of these guys are a bunch of lonely homesick kids from small towns that have been conditioned to get married and start a family. So they start a long distance relationship with some chick from back home, save up a few paychecks and ka-boom the shit show (marriage) is on. I can't tell you how many times I tried talking these knucklehead out of this. They think it's the road to a happy sex life. They fuckin you'll get (in court) ain't worth the fuckin you got.
