They are more willing to answer then in previous years. They forgot how fun it was to get attention through phone calls. It's exciting for them also. Phone ringing, heart pounding, butterflies in stomach, this stuff is good for seduction. It gets them into an emotional state.

This is the point of my original post, once the girl likes you, it doesn't matter how you contact her, but for "first contact" and communication early in the seduction, the phone call can be powerful. It can speed up comfort and connection. You can access her emotions much faster and deeper then text.
It's higher risk, higher reward.
