One thought about the girls you brought back to your apt but didn't close. Sometimes instead of taking her back to my place, i'd go back to her place.
It's counter-intuitive because everyone wants home field advantage, but usually the girl is more relaxed at her place. Then we'd start making out and I'd act tired, like i'm too exhausted to drag my ass all the way back uptown/downtown/crosstown/whatever, maybe you'll be a sweetheart and let me crash here tonight. Usually they give in, and one thing leads to another...
Extra benefits to this approach:
1. she doesn't have the 'gotta get up early' excuse,
2. this way she doesn't know where you live, haha.
