That being said, being in a longterm relationship with a hot girl doesn't necessarily mean the guy has game and can pull that caliber consistently, or even sporadically. Yeah, love does actually happen, and for whatever reason that guy may just fit that girls longterm dude reqs.
As for the general "game vs looks" debate, we need to have a clear definition of what "game" is.
If a dude who is a 9 in looks, facially and physique wise, has severe social anxiety, and can't open a conversation, or even maintain one that is started with a woman, then you could say "look game is more important", when a dude who is a 6 that approaches 200 girls and fucks 2 of them gets laid more.
If the guy with great looks just starts talking to girls, and escalates, he's going to have better results.
All things being equal, looks are WAY more important than whatever your idea of "game" is, especially with more attractive women, but in a dude's options in general. Fame/social position/societal status/fishbowl status trumps both.
The problem with most of these debates is there is no such thing as pure "game", it's always mixed in with a bunch of other shit. Working on leveraging your fishbowl status, or simply increasing your status by traveling to the right country, are at least as important as working on the mechanics of game.
The dichotomy is that you can be a male model with zero social skills/anxiety or on the other end a personality dynamo that knows how to seduce and go caveman, but just happens to be a burn victim with major deformities.
