So I’ve been messaging a girl I dated very briefly (no sex) 10 years ago and we’ve made plans to go for a drink on Saturday night.
Context is I used to work at the bar/restaurant we are going to and it’s how we met. We’ve had a sort of in joke about how I mixed up her favourite martinis back in the day. After agreeing to the drink she’s shot out a couple of questions...they may even be shit tests?
First one was “there’s going to be a very disappointed barman there on sat night” to which I responded “I will always be the original and the best” and then she’s thrown out “I told the owner his barmen always have a soft spot for me”
The best I can think of is
“Yes but I’m the only one you’ve ever had a thing for”
