Harvard cross-country team is put on probation for having a "sexist" culture

What are the odds this affects athletes' choice of schools? Or even if they turn pro (such as basketball, baseball or soccer, to name a couple viable options)?

Right now, if I were a high school student being recruited by Harvard and I saw this, I'd strike them from consideration. How would they guarantee that I'd even have a team to compete on by the time I graduated?

If I were in a sport where 18 year olds can go pro, why even bother with college? Baseball in th US has 5 levels of pro ball where you can ply your trade. Soccer has an insane amount of leagues and levels all over the world, it could be rather easy to find gainful employment.

I think harvard can do things like this because they have the money too.

Harvard doesn't have to worry about sports revenue because of their endowment.

Aloha!
