That means increased power density, and a much higher duty cycle. I wonder if that will make the electronics burn out faster. In engineering, there's always a trade off between cost, performance, and reliability. But if they used the right components, It could be the case that they hold up well. I bet the reason we haven't seen anything like this earlier is because the adapters that come with most laptops are designed to be as low cost as possible.
