With due respect, I fail to see how elderly chat is any weirder than asking for directions and then abruptly switching to "hey, are you good at relationships" followed by a mystery-method-style opinion opener (i.e., a previous thread you started involving recording your approaches which I can't link to because I'm still a forum newb - although that was a very good thread and I admire your initiative in creating it).
Elderly chat is maximized for naturalness. And until you've tried it you're only theorizing about how it might come off, which is the essence of keyboard jockeying.
In any case, your contribution is appreciated. I don't see why the Janka style opener wouldn't work as well.
