Man Holds Carjacking Suspect at Gunpoint Until Atlanta PD Arrive -

With the recent negativity cops lately, I thought this a worthy share. It's textbook example of how situations
do go down when citizens and law enforcement are both properly trained.
Video breakdown:
Victim:
He stayed calm, had a good stance, and demonstrated proper trigger discipline. Constantly checked his surroundings, and had no qualms with the crime being filmed. Either he's prior military, or took well to the CCH training. He put down his weapon when police arrived.
Cops:
Were dressed in uniforms, not tactical gear. Both walked up calmly and neither had their pistols drawn. They assessed the scene and
shook the victims hand, then asked him to pick up his loaded pistol. From there I couldn't tell if he was asked to put it in his vehicle, or get a concealed, or both.
Suspect:
The odd man out. Apparently he wasn't a trained carjacker.
This happens more than the public knows, because the national media won't spread it. The Atlanta media does celebrate these stories, and it's went viral, with over 4M views on one of the vids.

It's good to see how a properly armed and trained populace can not only protect themselves but have polite and productive encounters with the law when a problem occurs.
This type of behavior has been lost in America.

It's a small wonder the victim didn't get shot by the police - after all, he's a) black and b) clearly armed.
Report a theft, get shot to death by the police:

Wow, this is extremely impressive. Major props to the victim for not having his finger on the trigger and also for putting the gun down when the cops showed up. He is exactly the kind of person who should be allowed to carry a gun for his own protection.

Negativity sells.
Terrorism, natural disaster, murder, crime, rape, destruction. All popular because it plays to the human psyche on a primal level.
Gooey feel good stuff doesn't sell those points outside of a quick pick me up and then they go about their day.

Agreed. But it's a good thing for him that the incident was caught on tape. Had nobody recorded (at least the aftermath) and if he didn't have a witness with a camera out when the cops arrived, it could have turned out very differently.

Victim to unskilled carjacker "So you went to bed and woke up stupid this morning?"
Note to self to appropriate and use that saying against a SJW on Twitter.
