Noiva do Cordeiro, in southeast Brazil, has a 600-strong population that is entirely female, with sons sent away at 18 and the few husbands only allowed in town on weekends.

And while that might sound perfect to some, the young women in the town are growing increasingly frustrated at the absence of men – and have made an appeal for eligible bachelors to step forward.

there is a caveat:

‘Do what we say and live according to our rules,’ says Nelma.

‘There are lots of things that women do better than men. Our town is prettier, more organised, and far more harmonious than if men were in charge.

‘And there’s always time to stop and gossip, try on each other’s clothes and do each other’s hair and nails.’

Anyone who's seen the Wicker Man knows how this ends. But heebie-jeebies on that account aside, we all know female cooperation is an illusion that shatters when exposed to Alpha-induced tingles. Am I alone in thinking a couple of enterprising players could speedily have this whole town at each other's throats and run the place?

HAHAHAHA brilliant. The rest of your post is spot on as well.

For the record, I was envisioning the original Wicker Man with Christopher Lee when I read that, not the hilariously awful remake with Nicholas Cage, though I highly recommend watching both.

I like how this is a dupe, of a dupe, of a dupe!

Does anyone know how to get there? Personally, if all of the women are doing the work and all I need to do is eat, sleep, lift, and f*ck why not? Seems like paradise to me. Notice how they waited for the pastor to die before they wanted more female equality.
