Uzhogord/Uzhhorod
Uzhgorod is a city in western Ukraine on the Slovakia border and a short distance from Hungary, with Poland and Romania not far behind. This part of Ukraine is Catholic country. The city mainly supports the surrounding mountain farms, and is an inland port for freight traveling in from the EU. Also it’s a college town like Lviv but 1/7 the size. The city center looks more like you are in Hungary than being the typical architecture you associate with Ukraine. It’s a nice town that is really compact. You have all the amenities you need in walking distance no matter what part of the city you are in.
Getting There: It’s easy to get there from Kiev by direct flight. The only problem is you have to buy the ticket through a travel agency or at the airport. The tickets cost anywhere from $75-$150 one way depending on timing. The other way is to take the train from Kiev or Lviv. The distance from Kiev is 16 hours. The distance from Lviv is 6 hours.
Women: The women are probably the most open you will find in Ukraine. It’s a different scenario than the rest of Ukraine. Here they actually smile. You have one problem with this scenario. They smile and are open, but they are not as attractive as their eastern counterparts. But you will see better in Uzhgorod than its neighbors, Hungary and Slovakia. You will see a couple of stunners walk by around the city centre but not as many as other cities around Ukraine. Most of the girls that go to school in Uzhgorod come from the surrounding mountain and farm communities. Unfortunately they bring their style with them. It reminds of the time I went to university in Kentucky. I get the same vibe with these girls. Girls at universities in Kentucky are loving, good looking, always wanting to have a good time, but the style is not that great. They smile, say hello, and were feminine. Have no idea how it is today. Me coming from the northeast US I had to adjust to all the girls smiling and open to conversation in Kentucky. They are nice country girls that will take care of you. They look great but if they dressed better they will go up a point or two. A couple of years later around 25 you start to see the fast aging. That’s Uzhgorod women in a nutshell. The Kentucky of Ukraine. They dress better than Kentucky, but not compared to the rest of Ukraine.
Gaming wise it’s very easy. Also you have the many University girls in town during the school year. So pick away.
Accommodation: I stayed on Pidharskia Vulytsia. For the one bedroom apartment it was only $25 a night. I have posted before on how to find an apartment. Just follow those links.
Language: You do have some Russian penetration. Most girls here speak Ukrainian and also you can get by with English. The younger crowd here does speak English. Out of all the places in Ukraine I would say Uzhgorod has more English speakers by percentage.
Race Issues: I did get more stares than usual. Most of that is due to being the one of the only black guys they may come across every year(homogenous city). So I had no worries. I was profiled in the train station. One undercover cop came up to me and asked for my passport, asked me a couple of questions then let me go. Then 20 minutes later a regular cop came up to me and asked to see my passport. Then he looked at my passport and was surprised to see I was American. Then he let me go. Other than that nothing happened in the city. Everyone was very receptive and welcoming, instead of the stares from the old farmers that rolled into town.
Uzhhorod is a good place for a person who wants to settle down for a couple of months to deescalate from the rat race. The advantages are you are right on the border with Slovakia. You have the Poland, Hungary, and Romania borders less than an hour drive or train ride away in each direction. Plus you have the mountains and it’s a very inexpensive city. You could easily live a good life on $1000 a month. The women are not the best but are better than western women. If you want a short term girl to take care of your needs for the couple of weeks or months then go for it.

I thought I was just imagining things perhaps. But yes, I have sensed a bit of the desperation factor as well as far as wanting out. Hasn't been stated outright, but definitely an uptick in activity as far as communication goes.

This was from my long term stints in Ukraine from last year into this year. Currently in Hong Kong now. I was in Uzhgorod October of 2013. Just getting around to writing about all the cities.

On where to take them without being corrupted. I have no idea. The closest place I would say is Russia.

I have this girl on Skype for almost 2 years, 28 year old and ironically from Uzhhorod and we chit chatted a few times in the past year. Looks wise she is just she you described from girls from this area, she is attractive but not glamorous, but I have never met her yet.
Since I sent the Women Day's greeting she has way more interested, to the point we video chatted on Skype yesterday. In her case she been working in London for the last 6 months and I have a feeling her contract will come due this year and she does not want to go back.

i visited mariupol for 2 days (from donetsk -- by marshrutka) hoping to check out the sea of azov and check the scene. didn't get to do anything coz i came down with a cold -- and i wasn't about to let my cold turn into something hideous in some backwater ukrainian town.
try if you're serious about it but to be sure YMMV.

So this thread has dozens of posts now yet no posts from someone on the ground. Can any readers report on night game possibilities in Kiev, Kharkov, and Odessa after the revolution and if the women are even available to be approached with everything that is happening around them. By the way, I am from the school of "internet game does not represent reality" and really to gauge the local women one has to run day game, since those are usually the one's who have been exposed the least to westerners and perhaps could be a bit more pure and maybe even naive

ymmv - you mileage may vary. the key determinant being your skill speaking ukrainian/russian.
the whole ukraine thing has blown up into a shitstorm i'm sure no one ever expected. that said, i suspect if you have a non us/uk passport you'd do better than those with us/uk passports. at least for a moment.....
my experience walking around is that eastern ukr/russian girls are hotter on avg. apart from the obvious hot zones (odessa) i think poltava/kharkiv & dniepro will be better hunting grounds.
my overall view is that e ukr chicks are taller -- by a smidge -- but more natural in looks (aka non bleached hair/skin/etc.)
i never made it to w ukr but did see lugansk/donetsk/mariupol. industrial shithole indeed (but donetsk was quite nice). 200ft high piles of coal slag visible from trains. ugh.
but the most fragrant roses grow in the shittiest fields, right?

Uzghorod is rather mediocre.It is very small compared to Lvov and you become quickly known.Very worthless although there is population unlike Ternopil the poorest city in Ukraine which is almost abandoned.
Mariupol is great.In fact it is one of the place many Greek grooms operate.The big Greek minority in region helps for 'denailing' as we say in Greece.Generally Mariupol girls are a lot more comfortable than Donetsk girls who want the best.
Makeevka is total failure.I lived there for some days and had to visit Donetsk everyday to see some real action.This does not mean that Donetsk region does not have some interesting small cities but you have to search for them.In Ukraine the difference from city to city is almost unbelievable.In reality the good cities in Ukraina,Belarus can be counted with the fingers of one hand.The same is true for Poland and CR.

I spent 2 nights going to a couple of bars to survey the scene, received some numbers and was invited to a hang out with a group at a table (2 girls 4 guys) on night one. The next night I went out with a girl I got a number from.
Then had a mini LTR with 1 girl, I met online for the next 2 weeks. The girls are receptive and friendly, but if you are out every other night gaming women within a month everyone will know who you are. Its a conservative place but good for mini LTR's. Its a nice place to get away, plus you have Slovakia and Hungary next door for day trips.
I spent most of my time working and going out to eat in the morning in the center, a couple of bars at night and hanging out with my girl and her friends. Took a day trip to Mikolavace and also went to a cabin in the hills with her for 3 days. In all a good trip. It will get boring pretty quick. Its a small town, so you need to make up things to keep yourself busy if you are staying longer than 2 weeks.

yeah haven't even been to ukraine yet, however, the acceptance of people being late here is driving me crazy, just as it did in portugal.. we'll see how the next few days go. But I'm getting a 1 year visa to start, that's for sure
