^^ Forgot: add the juice of one lemon at the end, after the cheese is melted.

Found some at Walmart, $10 for a tiny ass bag, no sale. Figured I'd see if Sam's club has it (since Costco did), BINGO $10 for a big ol bag!

I have been making quinoa fried rice for a different meal.
quinoa (cooked in advance), eggs, peas & carrots (out of a bag), garlic, soy sauce and trader joes turkey balls (mashed to little pieces - I microwave first) . I have also been adding some curry powder for a different taste.
To plate it up, I throw on some cold sauerkraut (good probiotics) and a splash of siracha.
Easy to make and pretty healthy.

LOL. Yet another trendy ancient grain, making its' way around the various health circles, prices increasing as its' popularity surges. I swear, it's like the low-fat craze of the 80s all over again.

It doesn't taste all that great, I put spices and such with mine, plus mix it with brown or white rice to even out the taste.

How can you avoid getting that really bitter taste?. It happens once in a while when i make Quinoa, I just don't want to make it happen again.

Wash your Quinoa by running water over it for 30 seconds - 1 minute. The bitter taste is phytic acid and other plant protective compounds residing on the surface. By washing you not only remove bitterness but also decrease anti-nutrients.
