Thoughts on Men Getting Full-Back Tattoos of Athletes?
What compels a man to paint another man's accomplishments on his body?
Go out and carve out your own accomplishments in life.
Tattoos aren't beta, but putting another man's feats on your body is.

Jesus. I always start beaking my boys now when they talk about picking up the newest draft pick's jersey for their team to wear or whatever.
Athletes don't give a fuck about your support. They care about your dollars. You're an adult man wearing the name of another man, cheering him on, how do you feel?
So to tattoo this kind of shit on your back? Unforgivable.

Pretty lame.
I mean, I could understand a smaller tattoo, I know of a guy that had a famous musician autograph his arm, and he went and got it tattooed afterwards.
But devoting your entire back to some basketball player, the hell?

However, there is an argument to be made that Jordan in particular and (Lebron) are not "men".
In a secular society that has banished God and other religious expression, people create their gods ......
even the Greeks had their demi-gods ... etc.
These tatoos should be seen in the light of transferred religious devotion.... to beings seen as great, special, blessed, bigger, stronger, faster, than one self....

Take care of those titties for me.
It is gay.
These guys are inspired by those other guys, but they don't know what to do with that inspiration. They try to crudely incorporate the the powerful men by drawing their icons on their backs.

I can imagine at their funerals, their just going to be remembered as the guy who tatted Michael Jordan or Lebron James on their back. What a way to go.
"Hey you remember Joe?"
"Nah man which Joe?"
"The one that got Kobe Bryant tatted on his back"
"Oohhhh that Joe [sigh, nods head]"

Steve-O comes to mind:
Hell I think it's preferable to get a tattoo of yourself before getting a tattoo of someone else.

So when a girl is kissing their backs she is looking at another guy, kissing picture of another guy. That's fucked up.
At one point in my life I was about to get this tattooed on my left lower abdomen area.
No.
Fate whispers to the warrior, "You cannot withstand the storm." And the warrior whispers back, "I am the storm."

I can't have sex with your personality, and I can't put my penis in your college degree, and I can't shove my fist in your childhood dreams, so why are you sharing all this information with me?
Only men that can be carved on you:
Great-Grandfather,Grand-Father, Father, Son(s)
No other men are worthy of it. The only men worth immortalizing are the ones whom you share blood with. You are a piece of all those men listed, carving them is nothing because they are already an extension of you... literally. They are you... literally.
Not sure what is worse: Getting a random man inked on you whom gives zero fucks if you breath tomorrow, or getting your wife's name inked on you; both are wack as hell.

What I don't get is how can some random pro athlete inspire you THAT much...? It's just some dude amongst many others playing ball.
Moral of the story- don't be a pussy/slave/pussy-slave.

I think its a bit ridiculous but as to 'why' I think the above is close. Athletes are the closest thing we have to demi-gods and warriors these days. A Pat tillman tattoo? Maybe, a tattoo of Davey Crockett? more maybe, a tattoo of Miyamoto Musashi I probably wouldn't raise an eyebrow at that. They have just had enough passage of history to turn from men to legends/demi-gods.
Why do the heathen rage and the people imagine a vain thing? Psalm 2:1 KJV
Even wearing a players name on a shirt seems pathetic. Seen loads of backpackers in BKK wearing shirts with a photo of little wayne on too, not good.
Show me a man with a tatoo of another guy on his back and i'll show you a man raised without a dad - single parent/mother household.
