I'm Taiwanese and and I can confirm that people do indeed live at home way longer there then in the west. My dad actually lived at home until he was in his 30s and he actually was still living there when he was married with 2 kids. Some times I do wonder when he managed to get enough privacy to impregnate my mother with my sister and me...

Nah there are those kind of hotels on every street corner in Taiwan. There are usually two prices displayed - one for an overnight stay, and one to "take a rest." "Taking a rest" is obviously a euphemism for a short time stay to fuck your girl. I remember that they would also play fake porn during night time on regular TV channels.
